Students from Shireland CBSO Academy completed a residential visit to the Frank Chapman Outdoor Education Centre in Bewdley as part of the school’s wider personal development programme. During the visit, students took part in outdoor group activities including climbing, canoeing and kayaking, alongside evening activities such as karaoke. The programme was designed to complement classroom learning by giving students opportunities to develop teamwork, communication and resilience. Set within 90 acres of ancient woodland, the Frank Chapman Centre delivers residential outdoor education programmes for schools, with activities taking place in a natural environment intended to support collaboration, independence and problem-solving. The residential formed part of the Academy’s structured approach to personal development, which includes opportunities for students to build confidence, strengthen relationships and apply key learning skills outside of the classroom.
