The Academy

Our school is more than just a place of learning; our facilities in West Bromwich are available for hire by the general public.

We offer a wide range of high-quality facilities for hire, ideal for events, performances, sports, and community gatherings. Our well-equipped classrooms are perfect for meetings, training sessions, and workshops, while our spacious school halls are suitable for larger events.

Performing arts and music groups can make use of our 270-auditorium, drama studio, box office space and sound-proofed recording studio. 

Sports enthusiasts can enjoy our sports facilities, which include both outdoor grass pitches and a multi-use games area.

We provide high-quality facilities suitable for a variety of occasions and groups:

  • 270-seat auditorium with professional-grade lighting and sound technology. 30 further seats can be added to the ground floor if needed. Hot or cold refreshments package is available for a per head charge.
  • Classrooms with whiteboards, projectors and Wi-Fi
  • Outdoor Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) – an outdoor space designed to accommodate a variety of sports and physical activities.
  • Indoor sports hall with markings and equipment for football, badminton, basketball, Futsal and cricket.
  • Activity studio
  • Dining hall with movable seating and dining equipment. Food can be heated and catering packages are available.
  • Drama studio with curtains, piano and whiteboard.
  • Food/cookery room with movable seating and dining equipment.
  • Box office/green room
  • Immersive space – a flexible space with interactive whiteboard
  • Sound-proof recording studio with CD production and music technician available.

Our facilities are perfect for community groups, sports clubs and events.

Our facilities are generally available to hire in the evenings during the week and all day at weekends. We have extended hours during school holidays.

There is a 10% discount available on many of our venues for blocks of 10 or more consecutive bookings.

We are located in West Bromwich, Sandwell, West Midlands. We are easily accessible from the M5 motorway and A41 Black Country New Road. The site is served by frequent local bus routes and the Lodge Road and West Bromwich Central tram stops are approximately 0.5 miles away on foot.

Yes, all our venues have on-site or nearby pay and display parking for your convenience.

Safeguarding and Risk assessments

If the use of our facilities involves young people under the age of 18 or vulnerable adults, the party making the booking must have appropriate safeguarding policies and procedures in place.

You will need to confirm and provide evidence that you have the following in place:

  • A named DSL
  • Safeguarding policy for the club or organisation
  • Evidence that all volunteers and staff have undergone appropriate DBS checks
  • Risk assessments for the use of facilities
