Choosing your subjects
We encourage all students attending Shireland CBSO Academy to study at least one Level 3 music qualification and two additional A Level/BTEC courses. If this is not possible, we expect all students to support and contribute to our music ethos.
We consider students wishing to study four A Level or equivalent qualifications on a case-by-case basis.
Students are required to have:
- x5 GCSEs or equivalent, including English and Maths, at grade 5 or above
- Minimum of grade 5 or above at GCSE in order to be considered to study a subject at A-Level
- Met any additional entry requirements for specific subjects
In conjunction with other academies in the Shireland Collegiate Academy Trust, Shireland CBSO Academy can offer a wide range of courses for students to choose from to supplement their music education.
