Sixth Form students at Shireland CBSO Academy in West Bromwich are celebrating their A level results today, marking a milestone moment as they prepare for exciting opportunities in higher education, apprenticeships, or employment.
Families, staff and the wider Academy community came together to share in students’ achievements, recognising the commitment, creativity and dedication shown throughout their time at the Academy.
For students at Shireland CBSO Academy, results day is a chance to reflect on a sixth form experience that combines academic study with specialist opportunities in music and the creative arts. Many are now preparing to continue their studies, develop their talents further or begin careers across a wide range of sectors.
David Green, Principal at Shireland CBSO Academy, said: “Today marks a very special moment for our school community as we celebrate our students’ A level results. While this is an important milestone for the Academy, above all it is a moment to recognise the hard work, commitment and achievements of our students.
“From the very beginning, our students have played an important role in shaping our Academy, and we are incredibly proud of the creativity and ambition they have shown throughout their journey with us. I would like to thank our staff, families and partners for the role they have played in helping our students reach this point, and wish our leavers every success for the future.”
Strong performances were recorded across a range of subjects, with students achieving 100% pass rates and progressing to their chosen post-18 destinations or employment, including the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire at Birmingham City University.
Sir Mark Grundy, CEO of Shireland Collegiate Academy Trust, commented: “On behalf of the Trust, I want to congratulate all our students at Shireland CBSO Academy on their A level results. Reaching the end of their sixth form journey is a significant milestone, and we are incredibly proud of the commitment and ambition they have shown.
“Shireland CBSO Academy represents the power of bringing together academic excellence, creativity and opportunity, and it has been wonderful to see this year’s cohort embrace the experiences available to them. Their achievements reflect the dedication of our staff, the support of our families and the strong partnerships that help our students thrive. We wish all of our students every success as they take their next steps and look forward to seeing the many contributions they will go on to make in the future.”
