Jo Lawrence, Head of Sixth Form at Shireland CBSO Academy, commented: “We’re delighted to welcome families and provide them with the opportunity to explore the wide range of options available at Shireland CBSO Academy.
“Our Sixth Form is unique in that, while we specialise in music and music technology, we also offer a broad selection of A level and vocational courses, catering to the individual ambitions of every student. These tours are an excellent chance to experience our dynamic learning environment and discover how we support students in reaching their full potential.”
In partnership with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Shireland CBSO Academy Sixth Form offers a variety of A level and vocational courses, all delivered with a commitment to excellence. This includes high standards of teaching, strong pastoral support, expert careers guidance and a focus on helping students achieve both academic and personal success.
A standout feature of the Academy’s Sixth Form provision is the opportunity for all students to receive free music or vocal tuition and grading, regardless of their prior musical experience or the courses they choose. This initiative ensures that all students, whether they are experienced musicians or complete beginners, can enhance their musical abilities alongside their academic studies.
In addition to its academic and musical curriculum, the Academy offers a broad range of enrichment activities and comprehensive pastoral care, ensuring that students receive a well-rounded education that prepares them for success in their future endeavours.
