Students invited to get creative as Trust launches 2026 Christmas card competition

Shireland Collegiate Academy Trust is inviting students across its academies to get creative, as its annual Trust-wide Christmas Card Competition returns for 2026.

The competition gives students the opportunity to showcase their creativity and produce a design that captures the spirit of Christmas, with entries welcomed from Primary and Secondary students across the Trust.

Students can use any creative medium of their choice, from painting, drawing and computer graphics to photography. Designs should be created on white A4 paper and must be the student’s own original artwork. Entries created using AI software will not be accepted.

Following the success of last year’s competition, the Trust will once again select a winner from both its primary and secondary schools. Each winner will receive an art set and professionally printed copies of their design to share with family and friends. A runner up will also be selected at primary and secondary level, with both receiving a £10 voucher.

Entries will be judged by Qamar Riaz, CEO of Shireland Collegiate Academy Trust, with creativity, originality and festive cheer among the qualities being sought.

Students have until 12:00pm on Tuesday 1 December 2026 to submit their entries via email to marketing@shirelandcat.net.

Last year’s competition attracted a fantastic range of designs, showcasing the creativity and talent of students from across the Trust. With this year’s competition now open, students are encouraged to take their time, explore their ideas and create a design they are proud of.
