Shireland CBSO Academy Sixth Form will be exhibiting at the Connexions Sandwell New Year New Start Careers Fair on Saturday 1 February 2025, 9.30am-2.00pm, at The Hawthorns, West Bromwich, B71 4LF.
This free careers fair, the largest of its kind in the Black Country, is designed for young people aged 14-25. With over 50 exhibitors, including colleges, universities, and local employers, it offers an excellent opportunity to explore a wide range of educational and career pathways.
Shireland CBSO Academy Sixth Form offers a unique range of A level and vocational courses, along with access to professional masterclasses, workshops, and performance opportunities. Students thrive in a dynamic, creative community, all within a learning environment focused on excellence.
Students enjoy state-of-the-art facilities, including performance spaces, recording studios, and comprehensive sport, art, and design resources – creating an ideal setting for academic, musical, and personal growth. The Academy also places a strong emphasis on personal development, careers advice and pastoral care, ensuring students receive a well-rounded education.
A key feature of the Academy is its commitment to musical development, with students benefitting from free instrumental or vocal tuition and grading, regardless of their musical background or chosen courses.
In addition to its partnership with the CBSO, the Academy has teamed up with Laney Amplification, a leader in British guitar and bass amplification, to offer students exclusive opportunities in music technology. These include hands-on learning through workshops and masterclasses with Laney experts, work experience, mentoring, and guidance to help prepare students for successful careers in the music industry.
Jo Lawrence, Head of Shireland CBSO Academy Sixth Form, said: “At Shireland CBSO Academy, we understand how important it is to choose the right sixth form for your future.
