Shireland CBSO Academy Sixth Form is excited to announce its upcoming open event on Tuesday 22 October 2024, 4.30pm-7.00pm for prospective students and their parents. No booking required – simply turn up.
In collaboration with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, our sixth form offers a range of A level and vocational courses tailored to meet students’ needs and ambitions. With a commitment to high expectations, exceptional teaching and robust pastoral support, we deliver an unparalleled and unique learning experience.
Starting in September 2024, all sixth form students will also benefit from free music or vocal tuition and grading, regardless of their chosen courses. This distinctive offering allows students to pursue their musical interests without needing to formally enrol in a music course – whether they wish to continue pursuing music as a hobby or learn an instrument for the first time.
During this event, families will have the opportunity to tour the Academy’s state-of-the-art facilities, explore our broad curriculum and meet with the Academy’s teaching staff and leadership team. They will also gain a comprehensive insight about student life at sixth form, equipping them with the information needed to make an informed decision about their post-16 education.
Principal, David Green, said: “We recognise that choosing where to continue your education is a significant decision, and we are committed to guiding you toward the best choice for your future aspirations. We look forward to welcoming students and their families to our school, where they can experience first-hand the unique opportunities our sixth form has to offer.
“To ensure you get the most out of your visit, please arrive early and allow ample time to attend our open event, which will give you a valuable opportunity to see our facilities and meet our team to help you make the right choice for you.”
