Shireland CBSO Academy is thrilled to announce it will be providing free music tuition and grading for all enrolled sixth form students, starting September 2024. This exciting initiative underscores the Academy’s commitment to offering exceptional educational and musical opportunities as it prepares to welcome its first cohort of post-16 students.
This unique offering allows students to explore their musical interests without needing to formally enrol on a music course. Whether they wish to continue pursuing music as a hobby or learn an instrument for the first time, students will be immersed in the Academy’s vibrant music culture.
This initiative helps to remove the financial barriers often associated with learning a musical instrument, making music more accessible for its learners.
David Green, Principal of Shireland CBSO Academy, said: “We are incredibly proud to introduce this initiative for our post-16 students, ensuring they have every opportunity to explore their musical interests, regardless of their professional aspirations. Engaging in music fosters a multitude of valuable skills including creativity, teamwork, empathy and discipline – traits highly sought after by employers across industries.
“By supporting our students in their musical journeys, we’re not just enhancing their artistic development; we are empowering them to thrive and excel in whatever paths they choose.”
Shireland CBSO Academy Sixth Form offers a unique educational experience, featuring a diverse range of A level and BTEC qualifications delivered by expert teachers.
