Shireland CBSO Academy Sixth Form is excited to announce a significant upgrade to its admissions process for September 2026 entry, introducing Applicaa, a leading digital admissions platform widely used by sixth forms and colleges across the UK.
Starting in September 2025, all prospective students applying to Shireland CBSO Academy Sixth Form will submit their applications through Applicaa’s secure online portal. This innovative system streamlines the entire admissions journey – from application to enrolment and onboarding – offering students and families a more transparent, efficient, and user-friendly experience.
Once registered with a free account, applicants can explore and compare multiple post-16 providers using Applicaa, matching their desired courses with their interests, desired career, and eligibility based on predicted or actual grades. The platform also allows students to track their application status in real time, upload necessary documents securely, and receive live updates and messages – all in one convenient location.

Founded by educators in 2014, Applicaa was created to modernise and replace the traditional paper-based admissions system. It leverages digital innovation to improve communication between students and providers and to simplify the admissions experience for all involved.
Shireland CBSO Sixth Form will be hosting an Open Evening on Thursday 6 November, 4.30-7.00pm, where prospective students and their families can tour the Academy’s facilities, meet teaching staff and leadership, and gain a comprehensive understanding of sixth form life. This event aims to equip students with all the information they need to make confident, informed decisions about their post-16 education.
